Meet the
1:38 Women’s Conference

Fr. Nicholas Rouch

Ordained in 1989 for the Diocese of Erie, Pennsylvania, Fr. Rouch is currently the Vicar for Education for the diocese, and the Vice Rector of St. Mark Seminary, the diocese’ college formation program.  He has taught at Gannon University, the diocesan university in Erie, and at the Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  He received his doctorate in spiritual theology at the Pontifical University of St.Thomas in Rome where his dissertation addressed the relationship of Christian dogma and spirituality in the writings of Cardinal Newman.  Since ordination his assignments have included high school theology teacher, Gannon University Chaplain and Vice President for Mission and Ministry, as well as sacramental assistance at various parishes.  He has directed retreats and days of recollection for seminarians and other groups.

Please take 30 minutes to listen to a talk given by Fr. Nick Rouch at the beginning of Holy Week. ImageTrinity was able to capture Fr. Nick’s personal nature, loving spirit, and deep wisdom. In this talk, he speaks about the seven last words spoken by Jesus. Enjoy!

Bishop Persico, of the Erie Diocese, encourages women everywhere to a day of fulfilling rewards.

“The 1:38 Women’s Conference is an important opportunity for women to do something for themselves spiritually in an environment geared exclusively to them. I am proud to have this conference take place in our diocese and I encourage women to make the effort to participate in it. The investment of just half a day is rewarded with the chance to revitalize your faith in the company of many other women who, like you, want to live and grow in their faith in the rough and tumble of everyday life. I look forward to spending this day with you and pray for God’s blessing upon the conference.”
